Obituary of Jeffery “Jeff” Todd Brunson

Jeffery “Jeff” Todd Brunson, age 60, of Bastrop, Louisiana, passed away on October 12, 2025. Jeff is survived by his mother, Doris Carruth; his former wife, Cathy Brunson; daughter, Angel Brunson Dubose and her husband, Justin Dubose; son, Jason Brunson; stepson, Dustin Valentine; sister, Debra Brunson; and grandchildren, Anniston Dubose, Austin Brunson, Ethan Brunson, and Devin Brunson. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Malton Brunson, and his stepfather, Everett Carruth. Jeff loved the outdoors — hunting, fishing, and taking rides in the country were some of his favorite pastimes. He especially enjoyed evenings spent by the fire with his dog, Lady, and time shared with his grandchildren. Known for his sense of humor and love for a good time, Jeff also enjoyed gardening, cooking and bringing people together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
