Obituary of Glynn Farmer

Funeral services for Glynn Farmer are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Bruce Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM.
Mr. Farmer, a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the age of eighty-six. He was known for being a “History” buff and even taught himself to read Latin. Mr. Farmer enjoyed fishing and could tell many stories of his fishing adventures. He was also a gun enthusiast who loved to reload shells.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his daughter, Cathy Hodges, and husband David; grandchildren, Sierra Johnson, and husband Jarvis, Courtney Johnson, and fiancé Mason Caldwell, Victoria Moeller, Hope Miller, Madycen Hodges, Katie Uherek, and husband Dakota, Karlie Guess, and husband Dylan, Jackie Hodges, and fiancé Tanner; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alyce Farmer; siblings, John A. Farmer, Harold Farmer, Victor Farmer, Merle Pierce, Violet Holland; and granddaughter, Amber Miller.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jarvis Johnson, Josh Hawthorne, Chad Harper, and Tim Miller.
