Memorial funeral services for Mrs. Rita H. Carroll, age 71, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, October 31, 2025 at Harmony Baptist Church with Bro Allan Eppinette officiating.
Mrs. Carroll, a resident of Bastrop and owner of ABC Locksmith, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she loved to worship the Lord through music and fellowship. She also enjoyed fishing, cruises with her family and traveling. Mrs. Carroll loved tending to all of her plants and animals as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roy T. Carroll; daughters, Danna Edgeworth and husband Brad and Julie Carroll Hobgood; son, Chase Pritchett; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Oser and husband Brayden, Krystal Hobgood, Hayden Edgeworth, Kaleb Hobgood and Conner Edgeworth; great granddaughter, Chelsea Lynne LaDart.
Mrs. Carroll is preceded in death by her parents, William “Shorty” and Josephine Holland; siblings, Charles “Stump” Holland, Everette Holland and Joyce Carlock.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary.
Bro. Allan has helped us to put our trust in God, even during the most trying times. We are so thankful for his kindness, friendship, and the love he has shown our family over the years.
