Graveside funeral services for Mr. Sydney R. “Sid” Moore are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, November 7, 2025, at Christ Church Cemetery with Bro. Gary Guice officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the age of eighty-six. He loved his country, enjoyed flying, and proudly served for four years. Mr. Moore worked at International Paper Company until it closed and then worked for Jones Producers Gin in Jones, LA.
He is survived by his children, Sheila Lynn and husband Ed, Sidney J. Moore, and Steven Moore and wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Chelsie Setser and husband, Daniel, Tiffany Lynn, Harley Lynn, Makayla Braswell and husband, Cole, Sara Moore, Greyson Moore, Westin Moore, and Hudson Moore; great grandchildren, Charli Faye Lynn, Mason Griffis, and Madeline Stover.
Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his wife, Shirdie Faye Moore; parents, Sylvester and Annie Moon; and great granddaughter, Kaylee Jo Blankinship.
