Obituary of Felix Ray Brown

Felix Ray Brown passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of ninety-four. He drew house plans for sixty years in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas - in his residential and commercial design business, Felix Brown Plan Service. Throughout his years of business, Mr. Brown belonged to many church and Civic Clubs. Though passionate about his work, his pride and joy was always his son, Scott, grandson, Adam, and his family.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Janice Graff Brown; son, Scott Brown; grandchildren, Adam Brown, and wife Emily; great-grandchildren, Dan Brown, Eden Brown, and Blair Brown; nieces and nephews, Tina Brown Oliver, Raymond Scott Brown, and wife Juliette, Chuck Brown, wife Linda, Mike Brown, and wife Melissa, Judy Custer, and husband Alan, Martha Tackett, and husband Mark, Malcolm Averett; nephew, Tom Graff, and wife Janna, and their children: Spencer Graff, Wesley Graff, and wife Natalie, Landon Graff, and wife Mary Clair; and nephew, Bryan Graff, and wife Julie, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews, and an incredible number of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl T. Brown, Sr. And Carrie Lee Brown; sister, Estelle Brown White; brothers, Carl T. Brown, Jr., Howard Brown, and Jimmy Brown; nieces, Carol Ann Averett, Janet Shepherd, and Susan Russell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William M. Graff, Sr. and Alice Broussard Graff; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Graff, Jr., and his wife, Ann.
Memorial services for Mr. Brown are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Lisa Mayo officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 2 PM service time.
The family would like to thank the staff at Le Grand Nursing Home, Bastrop, LA, and the employees of Premiere Hospice, Bastrop, LA for their loving care of Mr. Brown.
