Obituary of Gladys Ray Wink Andrews

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Ray Wink Andrews, age 92 of Bastrop, LA, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Cade Reynolds officiating. Mrs. Andrews passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Mrs. Andrews was a Christian lady who loved worshiping and serving her Lord by working at the Mer Rouge Road Pentecostal Church. She also loved fishing. She and James loved fishing so much that they owned multiple fishing camps and she was always ready to win a fish catching competition. Mrs. Gladys also loved cooking and everything she prepared was wonderful! Mrs. Andrews was blessed with a loving and caring family whom she loved dearly, especially her pup, Coco. She is survived by her husband of 77 years, James L. Andrews; children, Louis Andrews and wife Linda, Patsy Andrews Reynolds, Martha Andrews Chatham and husband Lenard; siblings, Marion Lee Wink and wife Sue, Jessie Wayne Wink and wife Barbara, Reba Chunn and husband Victor; grandchildren, Jeffery Andrews, Michael Andrews, Stephanie Cooper, April Gomez, Cade Reynolds, Jeremy Bryant, Justin Bryant, Austin Andrews, Kelly Bell and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Andrews is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Dell Andrews; son in law, Preston Reynolds; parents, Roy J.E. Wink and Elma McGrew Wink; sisters, Margaret Willis, Bobbie Nell Creech, Shirley Wink and brothers, Roy Dean Wink and Tommy Ray Wink. Our family would like to thank Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for the compassion and care they gave our mother during this part of her journey in life.
