Bobby Dale Church was born on March 24, 1942, to Claude and Fannie Church and passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a Veteran of the United States Airforce and retired from the International Paper Company. He devoted his life to his family and his friends. Mr. Church was a giving person who was always trying to help others. He found the most joy in spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandchildren, often bringing them snacks, treats and keeping them in full supply of $2 bills. Mr. Church is survived by his wife Mary Church; his children Bobby Preston Church and wife Rainie Church, Jennifer Lee Church Lebrun and Jessica Marie Church; his grandchildren, Zachary Lebrun and wife Laura Lebrun, KayDee Lebrun Cox and husband Emery Cox, Seth Church and wife Christian Church, Jacob Sewell and Kaleb Barkley; Great grandchildren Hayden, Dani, Caroline, River, Hadlyn, Harlan and Tatum; his sisters Patricia Church and Pearl Church as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family; Special Friend closer than a brother Thomas Hilton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Fannie Church; his brothers, Cloys Church, Luther Church, Carl Church, and Ernest Church; his sisters, Marie Church, Edna “Pete” Church and Martha Martin; his cousins, who were like brothers, James Rodman and Ed Rodman; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and family who will be overjoyed to see him again. The family would like to send a special thank you to the physicians and nursing staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center 5th floor and the physicians, nurses and staff at St Francis Specialty Hospital for the compassionate care that was given to him. A special thank you as well to Sheriff Mike Tubbs for always being someone he could count on. And so, to our person, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend, a giver, we will look for you in everything we do. When the leaves start to change, when the crepe myrtles bloom, when we sip on a Crème Soda or taste a good banana pudding, we will look for you everywhere, so that you will never truly be gone.
