Obituary of Marvin Lee McKoin, Jr.

Funeral services for Marvin Lee McKoin, Jr. are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Dr. Terry Young officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 AM.
Mr. McKoin passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of seventy-five. He attended Louisiana State University and Louisiana Tech where he studied Animal Science. His love for animals was clear because throughout his life he always had cattle, horses, dogs, and pigs. Mr. McKoin enjoyed deer hunting and farming, and when he was younger, he helped his dad dairy farming. He will always be remembered for how much he loved playing a good joke on someone, he could have been titled as a professional agitator.
Mr. McKoin is survived by his daughter, Tresa McKoin Moyers, and husband Trey; grandchildren, Damien Keith Moyers, and wife Lyndsey, Tabor Moyers Smith, and husband Logan; great-grandchildren, Maibry Leigh Moyers, William Thomas Moyers, Carter Keith Moyers; siblings, Jackie McKoin Young, and husband George, Dallas McKoin, Cindy McKoin Peralta, and husband Peppy, Steven McKoin, and wife Jan, Bessie McKoin Reynolds, and husband Kevin; special friend, Tabitha Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Stallings McKoin; parents, Lela “Rita” Washington McKoin and Marvin Lee McKoin, Sr.; and sister, Dianne McKoin.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Young, Chad Grice, Clay Johnson, Jake Johnson, Ben Johnson, Todd Polk, and Udie Herrington.
