Obituary of Jerry "Sug" Clack

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry “Sug” Clack are scheduled for 2 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Horseshoe Baptist Church, with David Burkett, Forsythe Avenue Church of Christ, presiding. Interment will follow in Stevenson Cemetery near Oak Ridge. Visitation will be at the church on Monday evening, March 23, 2026, from 5 until 7 PM.
Mr. Clack, a resident of Oak Ridge passed away at St. Francis Medical Center on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of seventy-three. He had retired from Union Pacific Railroad after thirty-two years of service. He was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church. He raised horses, cows, and longhorn cattle. Trail riding and deer hunting were two of his favorite pastimes. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a graduate of West Monroe High School, and attended Northeast LA University.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Charlene Clack; sister, Wanda Clack, and brother-in-law, Don Hendrix.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Pam Clack Hendrix, of Mer Rouge, LA, and Clara Clack McKoin, and husband Darrell, of Mer Rouge, LA; brother, Charles Clack, and wife Kathy, of Columbia, LA; nieces, Krystal Lowery, and husband William, of Bastrop, LA, Charley Carter, and husband Boris Borisov, of Mer Rouge, LA; nephews, Tommy Clack, of Columbia, LA, Christian McKoin, of Mer Rouge, LA, Colter McKoin, of Mer Rouge, LA; great niece, Alyson Lowery of Bastrop, LA; great nephew, William “Bubba” Lowery, Jr., of Bastrop, LA; special friend, Barbara Porter; and faithful dogs, Sugar, Yeti, and CoCo.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Norwood Christianson, Glen Stamper, Don Willard, Emmitt Clack, Steve Gregory, and William Lowery. Honorary pallbearers are William Ray “Bubba” Lowery, Jr. and Kaden Dampier.
