Obituary of JoeAnn Hawsey Henderson

Funeral services for Mrs. JoeAnn Hawsey Henderson, age 88, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 12 PM until 2 PM service time at Goldens. Mrs. Henderson, a retired employee of Golden Funeral Home, passed away April 11, 2026. She was also a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Henderson Stephens and husband David; daughter-in-law, Nancy Henderson Shawhan and husband Spencer; sister, Elsie Walley and husband Jerry; brothers, Jimmy Hawsey and wife Linda, Ronny Hawsey; grandchildren, Traci Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens and husband Eladio, Carrie Grace Henderson Potter and husband Taylor; great grandchildren, Emma Garcia, Henderson Potter and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henderson is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Henderson; son, Buddy Henderson; parents, James Lester and Lydia Elizabeth (Coote)Hawsey; sister, Claudine Hawsey and brother, Larry Hawsey. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Dupree, Jimmy Straughn, Rodney Hopkins, David Ingram, Bro. Britt Dupree and Lynn Moore.
