Obituary of Jerry Wayne Goyne

Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Goyne are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Eppinette and Bro. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in McKnight Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 PM - 2PM prior to the service. Mr. Goyne, a retired employee of Morehouse Parish, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of eighty-two. He was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved raising hunting dogs. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Goyne; daughter, Tammy Goyne; sons, Kevin Goyne and wife, Robin, Matt Goyne and wife Darline; stepdaughters, Vickie Gittens, Donna Gittens, Deana Free and husband, Charles; stepsons; Mitchell Jeselink and wife, Shannon, and Michael Jeselink and wife, Jennifer; stepdaughter-in-law, Sherry Jeselink; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and furry companion, Lacie. Mr. Goyne is preceded in death by his parents, Willis Henry “Bo” and Alberta Goyne; brother, Houston Goyne; sister, Charlotte Thomas; great great grandson, Grayson Goyne; stepson, Jeff Jeselink; and stepdaughter, Connie Gittens. Serving the family as pallbearers are Daniel Goyne, Adam Goyne, Trent Goyne, David Thomas, Mike Jeselink, and Jeffery Jeselink.
