Mrs. Paulette Massey Whitehead, a homemaker and resident of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 80.
Paulette was a very strong woman, physically and mentally, who followed God and loved all of her family. She is loved and will be will very missed, but also remain an icon and great example of strength and perseverance to her children, grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by husband, Vidal Ruiz; daughters, Dana Aulds Eppinette and husband Audie, Cherry Neal Whitehead; grandchildren, Britney Hocett, Rory Carpenter, Jr., Dawson Neal, Dillon Neal; great grandchildren, Brycen Carpenter, Emma Carpenter, Ellie Hocutt, Sloan Alfred Neal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Whitehead is preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton Whitehead; parents, Annie Bell Massey and Samuel Leroy Massey; eighteen siblings; and grandson, Zachery Carpenter.
