Funeral service for Mrs. Lisa Cooper “Maw” is scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. La Roy Dumas officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday from 12 noon prior to service time.
Lisa passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at the age of fifty-nine. Mrs. Cooper was employed for the United States Post office. She was a loving wife and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lisa was just Lisa, if you knew her, you know she enjoyed the simple things in life.
She is survived by her husband, Bodie Cooper; Mother-in-law, Sandra Harper; daughter, Candance Cooper; son, Jeremy Cooper; sisters, Deborah Sharp and husband, Keith, Rhonda Lott and husband, Mike; brothers, Kenneth Phillips and wife, Darlene, Chad Harper and wife, Dawn; grandchildren, Journee Cooper, Ellie Cooper, Annleigh Cooper, Slade Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Ray Phillips and Grace Vonell Rogers.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Dean Brown, Rodney Brown, Earl Crumley, Todd Bryan, Allen Campbell, Kayne Coody, Carter Craft, and John Carter. Travis Maynor will serve as honorary pallbearer.
