Funeral service for Georgia Ann Montgomery Chain is scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, May 16, 2026 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Beekman Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Friday, May 15 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
Mrs. Chain passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, she enjoyed deer hunting, watching birds, especially hummingbirds and writing poems.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Chain; daughter, Tonia Strebeck and husband, Danny; son, Craig Chain and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Hannah Pates and husband, Trey, Michaela Sanchez and husband, Hugo, Bryan Chain and wife, Holly, Wyatt Strebeck and wife, Kristin, and Jacob Chain and Emma O’Neal; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Chain is preceded in death by her parents, Fatty and Lizzie Montgomery; siblings, Mary Procell and Murray Montgomery.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Levi Humphrey, Bruce Humphrey, Keith Nellams, Earl McCrory, Ron Tucker, and Glen Hutchison. Honorary pallbearers are Bro. Andy Myrick, Buck Harper, and the Gardner Baptist men.
