Leslie Ann Jarrett Riner, born on December 23, 1963, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away in her sleep on May 5, 2026, following a long battle with cancer.
Leslie was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana, where she spent her childhood surrounded by family, friends, and the values that shaped her resilient spirit. Throughout her life, she also called Texas and North Carolina home before returning to Bastrop, Louisiana, creating lasting memories and meaningful connections everywhere she lived.
Leslie will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, and deep love for late husband Paul Riner and her many fur babies over the years. Her neighbors were kind and found foster homes for her beloved dogs Snuggy, Sammy, and her cat Deacon.
Leslie attended Twin Oaks Baptist Church, where she found a second family. She loved to sing praises to the Lord and treasured the fellowship and faith that were such important parts of her life. She was very outspoken and funny, and her laughter and honesty brought joy to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Ann Bryan Stuart of Monroe, Louisiana and her beloved husband Paul Riner of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is survived by her father, Charles Jarrett and his wife Barbara of Chipley, Florida; her sister, Veronica (Ronnie) Jarrett Martins of Willow Spring, North Carolina; her brother, Shawn Pace and his wife Lori Pace of Rayville, Louisiana; her sister, Brandy Pace Fontenot of Mangum, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many dear friends and loved ones who will cherish her memory always.
