Dr Betty served the people of Morehouse Paris for many decades caring for those that could not afford medical care. Rip for a well earned rest and being a friend to me. Dewey Jones

Q: What will you never forget about Betty Lou?
A: I was the newest direct care worker for Dr. Betty. She was kind and very receptive of the care she was given. The Dr. Betty I will remember loved ice cream and strawberry yogurt. She would always say thank you after each interaction. I will miss you Dr. Betty and your witty sense of humor.
Not goodbye,
See you later, Dr. Betty

Betty was my Aunt, my Dads sister, there was a large age difference between them as my Dad was born in 1918, they did keep in touch but we didn't get to visit with Betty a lot, in the 50's she worked as a telephone operator and lived with her Mother Goldie, who was separated from Thomas Whitener They lived in Pottawatomie county around Rock Creek, my Dad did attend her graduation from OU, which he spoke of many times, he was proud of his sister and her accomplishments, I remember her as being very smart and always smiling, always friendly, such an amazing woman, rest in peace now, your work on earth is done.

I have worked with Dr. Whitener since February and she was always so thankful and polite. She would always smile and say thank you. Dr. Whitener made me feel appreciated. She was my Dr. Betty and she will be missed.
