Obituary of Ladon Wayne Shivers

Funeral services for Mr. Don Shivers, age 64, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 2 PM Tuesday, prior to the services.
Mr. Shivers, a retired chemical supervisor at Georgia Pacific Crossett for over 40 years, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He was a member of South Crossett Missionary Baptist Church and the president of A.B.A.T.E. of Louisiana, Bastrop, Chapter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, cooking, playing pool, mowing and keeping his yard beautiful. He also had a passion for vehicles, and he loved to show off his restored 1969 Camaro at car shows.
He is survived by his wife, Susie Shivers; brother, Colvin Shivers and wife Lea Ann; best friend, Bruce Gregory.
Mr. Shivers is preceded in death by his parents, Grady C. Shivers, Sr. and his wife Maedean.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tony Russell, Tony Brantley, Bruce Gregory, Randy Mitchell, Curtis McDill, Paul Sanders, Michael Moreland, Keith Maxwell, and Tim Abney. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Clark, Travis Brantley, Travis Hall, Eugene Burnett and the A.B.A.T.E. of Louisiana, Bastrop Chapter Members.
