Funeral services for Virginia Foreman are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, June 5, 2026, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Rev. Lisa Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden’s.
Mrs. Foreman, a member of First Methodist Church, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of ninety-seven. She was born in Collinston, LA, and was a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish. She was a retired school teacher having taught fifth grade at Prairie View Academy for thirty-five years. Mrs. Foreman became an avid traveler after visiting New York City at eighteen years old and was the epitome of a Southern Belle.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Hijazi (Johnny); grandchildren, Sean Southern (Kristin), Ali Hijazi (Emily Cruz); and great-grandson, Patrick Southern.
Mrs. Foreman is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Foreman; her parents; and two sons, Mike and Mark Foreman.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Southern, Ali Hijazi. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Pratt and Margaret Pratt.
