Obituary of Faith A. Shoemaker

Funeral services for Faith A. Shoemaker, age 51, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kelvin Copeland and Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Shoemaker, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010. She was employed as a victim assistance coordinator. She is survived by her husband, Brian K. Shoemaker of Bastrop, LA; parents, James and Vada Koontz of Bossier City, LA; two daughters, Bridget F. Humphrey of Bastrop, LA, Crystal M. Aulds and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA; son, Bruce E. Humphrey and wife Michelle of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Cindy Akes of Shreveport, LA, Lisa Kelley of Karnack, TX; brother, James Koontz of Lawrenceburg, KY; grandson, Grayson R. Aulds; three step-grandchildren, Tanner Aulds, Jacob Aulds, Ashton Aulds; sister-in-law, Robin Baggerly and husband Scott of Bastrop, LA; five nieces, Meredith Baggerly, Raquell Koontz, Hailey Koontz, Megan Taylor, Lacey Akes and a nephew, David Akes. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Brumfield, David Akes, Robert Aulds, Dion Young, Danny Ellender, and Todd Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are the 4th Judicial District Judges, Jerry Jones, and the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office.
