Graveside funeral services for Mr. William Melvin Robinson, age 91, will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Robinson, a resident of Bastrop and a retired electrician, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. Mr. Robinson was a free mason, and a United States Army Veteran of World War II, in the Signal Corp. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean Hays Robinson; a sister, Florene Bradley; and parents, Frank and Ethel Robinson.
Mr. Robinson is survived by two sons, Melvin Joe Robinson and wife Carol of Daytona Beach, FL, Roy Glen Robinson and wife Becky of Monore, LA; one sister, Mildred Hall and husband Jimmy of Houston, TX; one brother, Paul Robinson of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
