Obituary of Mary Emma Carney

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Emma Carney, age 72, of Mer Rouge, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. A.J. Fulton and Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Carney, a retired Activity Director at Oakwoods Home for the Elderly, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at her residence. She is a member of First United Pentecostal Church. Everyone that met her loved her. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include: her daughter, Theresa Miller of West Monroe, LA; three sons, Edward L. Carney of Jonesboro, LA, Dennis R. Carney, Sr. of Mer Rouge, LA, George W. Carney of Slidell, LA; sister, Joyce Goleman of Collinston, LA; two brothers, John H. Johnson of Mer Rouge, LA, T.J. Johnson, Jr. of Slidell, LA; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Carney is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carney and Parents, T.J. and Lois Johnson. Serving as pallbearers are: Johnathan Carney, Jeremy Miller, Dennis Carney, Jr. Daniel Carney, Damon Carney, Trenton Johnson and Preston Carney.
