Obituary of Frances "Lynne" Walker

Funeral services for Ms. Frances "Lynne" Walker, 50, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Zachary Cemetery in Jones, LA. Ms. Walker,a homemaker and member of Zachary Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in Shreveport. She is survived by her mother, Georgia Williams and husband James of Bastrop, LA; father, Huey Walker and wife Angela of South Haven, MS; special friend, Nathan Pettit of Bastrop, LA; sons, Jeffery Walker of Collinston, LA, Matthew Walker and wife April of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Sharon Walker of Jones, LA, Leslie Wyatt and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA, Jessica Herd of South Haven, MS; brothers, Steven Walker and wife Kim of Bastrop, LA, Clarence Herd of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Logan Walker and Madison Harris. Ms. Walker is preceded in death by her grandparents, W.B. and Frances Hennington and Cay and Ruby Walker. Pallbearers will be; Scott Spurlock, Ricky Blackwell, Kerry Little, Derrick Stroud, Brad Mitchell and Gordon Mondry. Earl McCowin will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
