Obituary of Lee Petty

Funeral services for Lee Petty, age 28, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Lee, a resident of Bastrop and a welder, was born on October 12, 1981 and passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 in Shreveport, LA. Lee is preceded in death by his grandparents, J. W. and Jackie Kemp, and Ivey and Lois Dell Petty. Lee is survived by his wife, Amanda Farrar Petty; mother, Mary Pardon and husband Gary of Bastrop, father, Raymond Petty of Covington, LA; mother and father-in-law, Sharon and Glynn Farrar two daughters, Kayda Petty, Kayla Petty, both of Bastrop; one son, Joshua Lee Petty of Delhi, LA; two sisters, Melissa Lingefelt and husband Shane, Karen Blocker and husband Mike all of Bastrop; four nieces, Heather Lingefelt, Shayna Lingefelt, both of Bastrop, Kara Bullock, Trena Bullock, both of AL; one nephew, Gavin Lingefelt of Bastrop; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Glynn "Bubba" Farrar, Jr., Brandon Trichell, Matthew Milam, James Kemp, Bubba Kemp and Matt Dykes. Honorary pallbears will be Shane Lingefelt and Mike Blocker. The family will receive friends Friday, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
