Obituary of Lauren Elizabeth Lang

Funeral services for Lauren Elizabeth Lang, age 22 of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, February 2 at Golden Funeral Home. Lauren is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Louis & Opal Book, W. O. & Gloy Burgess, Dallas & Adelia McElroy, Herman & Opal Lang and Ollie & Annie White. Lauren is survived by her parents, Lamar & Lisa Lang; brother, Ashton Lang; grandparents, John & Johnnie Lang, Carolyn & Gary White and George & Barbara Book; uncle and aunt, Perry & Leslie Book; cousins, Taylor & Marla Book; boyfriend, Michael Horton;a host of other close cousins and family and her special dog Pilot. Lauren was a 2011 graduate of Bastrop High School during which time she enjoyed cheerleading for the Bastrop Rams. She was currently enrolled as a senior in the Dental Hygiene program at University of Louisiana Monroe. Lauren enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with her boyfriend Michael and teaching their dog Pilot to do special tricks. Becoming a Dental Hygienist was very near and dear to her heart. Lauren we will miss you.
