Obituary of Mary Helen Colson Frost

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helen Colson Frost, age 91, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Ronald Uptigrove officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Mrs. Frost, a homemaker and artist passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and owner of Helen's Ceramics for many years. She was also a member of the Busy Bee Club, leader of many church auxiliaries, an avid gardener and a Cub Scout troop leader and den mother. She loved dancing and did so three to four times a week. Mrs. Frost is survived by her daughters, Vivian Frost Nall, Diane Frost Rosenberg and husband Jackie Rosenberg; sons, Jack Frost, Jr. and wife Faye Christmas Frost, Gene Adrian Frost and wife Teresa Wallace Frost; grandchildren, Eric Scarbrough, Elizabeth Washington, Crystal Frost Palardy, Asher Rosenberg, Colby Uptigrove, Leah Rosenberg, Mallory Uptigrove Barnett, Ariel Rosenberg, Chelsea Frost, Joshua Aulds, Jonathan Aulds; great grandchildren, Anna, Caleb, Gabriel, Grayson, Banks, Hollis, Nash and Tyler. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Frost, Sr., Grandson, Christopher Uptigrove, great grandson, Sterling Uptigrove; mother, Sula Mae Winnon Colson and father, V.J. Colson.
