Funeral services for Mr. David Monroe Walthall, Sr. are scheduled for 10 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in the Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Walthall, a truck driver and deputy sheriff, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the age of seventy-four. He was a member of the Horseshoe Lake Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Louise Walthall; first wife, Alice Myers Walthall; and second wife, Shirley Lollar Walthall.
Mr. Walthall is survived by daughters, Lisa Cress and husband, David; and Talmadge Rae Hartley, and husband Dwayne; son, David Walthall, Jr. and wife Bobbi Jay; sisters, Lucille White, and husband Darrell, Frances Freeman, and husband Gary, and Judy Henderson, and husband Brad; brother Carl Walthall, and wife Lacy; Grandchildren, Natalie, April, David, Randy, David, Jaimie, Josette, Allen, Anthony, Cassie, Zachary, Devin, and Savannah; Great-grandchildren, John, Brianne, Anthony, Caroline, Aiden, Madison, Brentley, Mason, and Cadence; and by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Cerda, Lieutenant Chuck Lord, Jerry Deville, Richard Smith, I.J. Lawson, and Sheriff Mike Tubbs.
Visitation will take place Friday, June 24, 2016, from 6 - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
