Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Emily Wilson Moore, age 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Couch and Bernice McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Eudora, AR at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore, a resident of Bastrop and a retired nurse, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by husbands, John R. Wilson, Viegie Moore; parents; two brothers; two sisters; and two granddaughters, Brandi Lynn Wilson and Donna Michelle Wilson. Mrs. Moore loved animals and supported and helped the Morehouse Humane Society.
Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter, Sharon Ruth Stone and husband John of Morgan City, LA; two sons, John M. Wilson and wife Donette of Bastrop, LA, Tony Lynn Wilson and wife Bambi of Houma, LA; a niece, Nell Lofton and husband D.V. of Monroe, LA; other nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Cook of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
