Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Milton Ruffin, Sr., age 71, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Jim Taylor and Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Goldens. Mr. Ruffin, a retired employee of International Paper Company and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his residence. He was a great dad, granddad and a wonderful brother who enjoyed life. Mr. Ruffin is survived by three daughters, Tammy Manley and husband Ron of Bastrop, LA, Lynda Allen and husband Wayne of Fountain Hill, AR, Lisa Barbara and husband Scott of Sterlington, LA; two sons, James Ruffin and wife Dana of West Monroe, LA, Chuck Ruffin and wife Jean of Bluffton, SC; five sisters, Dorothy Smith, Helen Chambers and Connie Ruffin all of Polkville, MS, Mary Lois Scott of Waco, TX, Francis Bullock of Elkhart, TX; brother, Roger Dale Ruffin of Polkville, MS; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buel E. and Marie Ruffin; son, Curtis Milton "Curt" Ruffin, Jr.; brother, Dewey "Butch" Ruffin, sisters, Carolyn Jeanette Dupont, Elizabeth Ann "Tootsie" Aulds, Billie Ruth Garrett and Anita Fay Ruffin Nall. Serving as pallbearers are: Poncho Roberts, Robert Gray, James Griffith, Robert Kilcrease, Lewin Gray, M.D. Bullock, Sr. and Jarred Townsend.
