Obituary of Jay Douglas Robinson

Funeral services for Mr. Jay Douglas Robinson, age 47, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. William Sikes and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Loch Arbor.

Mr. Robinson, a member and Sunday school teacher of Loch Arbor Baptist Church, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. He loved football and loved coaching children in baseball and pee wee football. Family was his heart. He loved family get-togethers on weekends to watch football.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Cox Robinson; daughter, Mya Cheyne Robinson; son, Mason Cole Robinson and girlfriend, Delaney LeeAnne Mayo; siblings, Julie Bowe and husband Steve, Jill Robinson, Jeffery Guy Robinson and wife Dianne, Vince Faulkenbury and wife Lisa, Jana Cannon and husband Denny; father-in-law, Donald Cox and wife Hazel; and numerous other family and friends.

Mr. Robinson is preceded in death by his parents, Guy D. and Gloria June Robinson.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Mike Tarver, Eric Jenkins, Kenneth Cotton, David Smith, Tony Johnston and Butch Bostick. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Loch Arbor Baptist Church, Donald Cox, Jr., Ronnie Cox and Steve Bowe.
