Obituary of Ruby Holleman

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Holleman are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2017, at the St. Rest Baptist Church Cemetery (Dubach, LA) with Bro. Andy Myrick officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Golden Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Holleman, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the age of ninety-one.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Keeling Holleman; son, Harold Holleman; and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lonny Holleman, and wife Mary, of Ephrata, WA, Jean Kellogg, and husband Larry, of Suwanee, GA, and Karen Givens, and husband Don of Bastrop; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Copeland, and husband Wesley, Donny Givens, and wife Alaina, Ann Buijsman, and husband Maarten, Scott Holleman, Jill Holleman, Tim Kellogg, and wife Sherri, Bobby Kellogg, and Chris Kellogg, and wife Deborah; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Holleman was a homemaker and loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the Baptist faith.  One of the more interesting aspects of her life was, in her early years, she worked at the Army Ammunition Plant, in Minden, LA. 

The family wishes to express their heart-felt gratitude to Premier Hospice, TruCare Home Health, and special care-givers Elle Lee and Anner Coleman.
