Obituary of Thomas Eugene "Tom" Healy

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Eugene “Tom” Healy, age 68, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Seattle, WA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Healy passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in math and computer science. Mr. Healy was a long time employee of the Pan Am Life Insurance Company in New Orleans, where he was a computer systems programmer until his retirement.. He enjoyed traveling, loved to tell jokes, solving math problems and spending time with family and friends. His friends at Savannah Court were important to him.

Mr. Healy is survived by his sister, Nancy Healy; brother, John Healy; aunts, Lucile Healy and Mary Healy; niece, Vicki Healy Hom; great nephew, Jason Hom; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Healy and Lucille Healy and a brother, David Healy.
