Obituary of Douglas LaDon Chambers

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Douglas LaDon Chambers, age 61, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jeff May officiating.

Mr. Chambers was born January 30, 1957. He served in the United States Coast Guard as a young man from Georgia. He later married and settled in Bastrop while working at International Paper Company until it’s closure. He was known for his dependability and witty sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter, Kasey Chambers Chowns; brother, Stacy Chambers and wife Suzanne and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Chambers is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Katherine Ezell Chambers; parents, Douglas Lee and Rachel Chambers and a sister, Dorcas Kay Chambers.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 19, 2018 from 6PM - 8 PM at Goldens.
