Funeral servies for Mrs. Debra Guice Stapleton, age 56, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday May 29, 2011 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday May 28, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Stapleton, a retired agricultural secretary, passed away Friday May 27, 2011 at her home in Jones, LA. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Clyde Stapleton, her son Lester Gerald Langley and wife Wendy, her mother Velma Stillman and husband J. R., her step-children Sonja New and her son Justin, Leslie Miller, Neal Stapleton and wife Tommie, Richard Stapleton and wife Darla, 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, mother-in-law Clara Stapleton, special aunt Nancy Doles and husband Mike, sisters Opal West and husband Walter, and Myrtie Laing. Mrs. Stapleton is preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Myrtle Tyson, Delton and Annie Guice, her father Billie Jerald Guice, and her brother Jerald Guice. Serving as pallbearers will be Lester Gerald Langley, Roland Crymes, Chris Capers, Darin Pruitt, Andy Bunch, and Michael Pruitt. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Thelbert Bunch, Len Fortenberry, Greg Sadler, Benny Guerrero, Kermit Kuethe, Keith Baggett, Meko Thompson, Jim Mietsch, James Bethea. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the MD Anderson Children's Art Project, Susan P. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or the LA Cancer Foundation 141 DeSiard St. Suite 407, Monroe LA 71201.
