Graveside services for Lois V. Armfield, age 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Chad Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Armfield, a resident of Bastrop and a housewife, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Hickory Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Armfield was a member at Greenacres Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for many years. Mrs. Armfield was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Christopher Armfield; parents, Houston T. and Lucy Huffman; one granddaughter, Kelli Armfield; brothers, Nolan Huffman, Cordell Huffman; and sister, Ola Mae Lidell.
Mrs. Armfield is survived by one son, Jerry Armfield and wife Julia Arlene of Collinston; two brothers, Hilton Huffman of Bastrop, Lindzy Huffman of Choctaw, OK; two grandchildren, Rebecca Smith, Jarred Armfield; and three great grandchildren, Lara Meyers, Shelby Lee, Marshal Lee.
