Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jean Keating Bowe are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Bonne Idee Cemetery with Bro. William Sikes officiating. Mrs. Bowe was born July 15, 1948, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in Monroe, LA, at the age of seventy-four. She married George C. Bowe, Jr. On May 25, 1985, after meeting in Little Rock, Arkansas, while he was serving in the Air Force. They made their home in Florida, Great Britain, and Garland, TX, before settling in Bastrop, LA. She was the office manager for Arkansas One Call in Little Rock, AR and then went to work for TransAmerica Life Insurance Company, in Plano, TX, later retiring from this company. She enjoyed her special fur baby Chrissy; cruising twice a year with her good friends Ami, Sue, and Pam; reading, and bird watching. She enjoyed romantic comedies and mystery shows as well, but the greatest joy she had was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, William Franklin Keating and mother, Joyce Lea Keating; father-in-law, George Bowe, Sr. and mother-in-law, Barbara Bowe; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Bingham. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, George Cecil Bowe, Jr.; sister, Patricia F. Tekolste, and husband Roger; children, Christopher William Nolan, and wife Sarah, Paul Bowe, Krista Benson, and husband John Add, and Stephanie Hickman, and husband Randy; in-laws, Cecilia Bingham, David Bowe, and wife Cyndi, and Steve Bowe, and wife Julie; and grandchildren, Shelby West, and husband Brent, Brandon Rogers, and fiancé Tiffany Jones, Devin Cherry, Hannah Cherry, Clay Benson, Cailyn Nolan, Aniston Nolan, and Kelcie Robertson; and great-grandchildren, Gracyn West, Bowe West, Jack West, and Kovi Cherry; and multiple nieces, nephew, and other family. Serving as pallbearers are Paul Bowe, Brent West, Brandon Rogers, Devin Cherry, Clay Benson and Randy Hickman.
