Obituary of Louis Anthony Morrison

Graveside funeral services for Louis Anthony Morrison are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Rayville, LA. The family will receive friends Monday, July 10, 2023, from 8 AM – 9:15 AM at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Morrison, a retired United States Marine and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at the age of seventy-one. He was a good man and was known to help anyone in need. Mr. Morrison loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Some of his favorite hobbies included collecting model cars, eagles, and working on his computer. He is survived by his wife, Betty Shores; children, Allen Shores of Bastrop, LA, Robin Johnston of Bastrop, LA, Donna Rickard and husband, Darin, of Florida, Anthony Morrison of Arkansas, Margie Morrison of Oklahoma, Herman Shores and wife, Aliciah of Bastrop, LA, and Sharon Morrison of Oklahoma; brothers, Leo Morrison and wife Lang of Escondido, CA, Charlie Morrison and wife Kathy of Carson City, WA, Ed Morrison and wife Jeanne of Terrehaute, IN Kenny Morrison of Santa Rosa, CA, Jimmy Morrison and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family. Mr. Morrison is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Leighton Morrison and Catherine Grace Goodner Morrison. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Shores, Jordan Evans, Scott Bulloch, David Hickman, Ed Morrison, and Darrin Rickard. Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Morrison, Charlie Morrison, Allen Shores, and Billy Joe Hickman.
