Obituary of Gregory Cannon

Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Cannon are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the First United Pentecostal Church, in Ravyille, LA, with Pastor Stacy Thomas officiating. The burial will take place in Cheniere Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 PM Tuesday. A time of visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 PM service time Tuesday, at the church. Mr. Cannon, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the age of seventy-four. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Rayville, and loved his church and his family dearly. He was known for having a big heart and always being willing to help those in need. Mr. Cannon enjoyed working in the yard and also helping out around the church. He also loved to sing and play the autoharp! Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Linda Cannon; step-children, Leon Moon, and Leann Reaux and husband, Larry; brother, David Cannon and wife, Fay; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Cannon; mother, Theada Barbara; and sister, Sharon Brewer.
