Obituary of Brian Leon Evans

Funeral services for Brian Leon Evans, age 39, of Mer Rouge, LA are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Bonne Idee Assembly of God church with Rev. Jerry Stuckey officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday a Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Evans, an attorney and member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at his residence. He served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Leia Evans; three sons, Jessie Cantrell, Houston Evans, Gavyn Evans all of Mer Rouge, LA; a sister, Shelly Etheridge and husband Ashley of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Kevin Weant and wife Jo Ann of Madill, OK and Mark Evans of Denton, TX. Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Joyce B. Evans; grandparents, Herbert Hodge, Sr. and Della Mae Bennett, Houston Evans and Annie Bell Evans. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mark Evans, Ashley Etheridge, Joel Evans, Scott Raley, Kevin Evans and Neil Raley. In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends donate toward the funeral expenses.
