Obituary of Willard L. "Noody" Kenly

Funeral services for Mr. Willard L. "Noody" Kenly, of Fairbanks, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Petrus officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevenson Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at Goldens. Mr. Kenly, a retired pipeliner, passed away at his home on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the age of 91. He was the oldest living member of the Pipeliner’s Local 692 Union. Mr. Kenly loved his wife of seventy and a half years, his family and his chickens. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being outdoors and sight seeing. Mr. Kenly is survived by his wife, Grace Kenly; daughters, Judy Silk, Diane Bowen and husband Rick, Sandra Kenly, Toni Martin and husband Jullian; sons, Larry Kenly and wife Sonya, Eric Kenly and wife Taresia; brother, Jake Kenly; twenty seven grandchildren; sixty one great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carson T. and Louise Kenly; son, Randy Kenly, Sr., grandson, Marcus Kenly; sisters, Annis Kenly, Vernice Reddick, Berber Jean McLemore, Betty Jo Blackwell and brothers, Billy Kenly, Wayne Kenly, Willie Earl Kenly, Benjamin Kenly, and Thomas Kenly. Serving as pallbearers are Chad Silk, Randy Kenly, Jr., Jerry Kenly, Scott Kenly, Larry “Bubba” Kenly, Jr., and Julian “JJ” Martin, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Bennett, Josh Martin, Adam Kenly, Zack Kenly, Ben Rainey, Casey Keith and Dusty Kenly. The family wishes to thank Passages Hospice for taking such good care of Mr. Kenly.
