Obituary of Lois A. Evans

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois A. Evans, age 90, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Evans, a housewife and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA. She was a member of Hughes Chapel Methodist Church. She loved fishing, traveling, and doing yardwork. She loved her grandbabies. Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by her husband, L.A. Evans, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Rhodes of Rayville, LA; son, Ronnie Cox and wife Terri of Longview, WA; two sisters, Betty Cox and husband Jack of Ruston, LA, Inez Verscher and husband Ivy of Alexandria, LA; three grandchildren, LeAnn Wallis, Ronnie Cox, Jr., Angela Aaron; and five great grandchildren, Bethany Wallis, Jessi Aaron, Hayden Aaron, Chad Cox, and Josh Cox. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Evans, Ray Evans, Billy Jordan, Curtis Jordan, Jimmy Evans, and Dillon Evans. Honorary pallbearers are Erwin Evans, Frankie Evans, Glendol Stanley, Anthony Evans, and Michael Evans.
