Obituary of Cleo M. Ryder

Funeral services for Mrs. Cleo M. Ryder, age 93, a resident of Bastrop, LA, formerly of Sterlington, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Ryder, a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Sterlington, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. She loved her family and was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, having made several trips to Branson and several cruises. Mrs. Ryder is survived by her two sons, Larry Ryder and wife Linda of Bastrop, LA, Glenn Ryder and wife Patsy of Sterlington, LA; five grandchildren, Alan Bankston, Cherrie Dickerson and husband Randal, Brandi Martinez and husband Don, Barry Ryder and wife Donna, Todd Ryder and wife Angela; eight great grandchildren, Jason Bankston and wife Ashley, Colby Dickerson and wife Sara, Brady Dickerson, Paige Martinez, Ginger Roan and husband Jonathan, Victoria Ryder, Jade Ryder, Bailey Ryder; two great great grandchildren, Justus Roan and Ryder Roan. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Harry J. Ryder and Chester Erskine; granddaughter, Sheryl Bankston and parents, Walter and Zelma Carroll. Serving as pallbearers are: Alan Bankston, Jason Bankston, Randal Dickerson, Colby Dickerson, Brady Dickerson, Mike Gilley, Barry Ryder and Ferrell Bostick. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Todd Ryder.
