Obituary of Dallas Preston Sasser

Funeral services for Mr. Dallas Preston Sasser, age 89, of Oak Grove, La. are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Goodwill Church of God with Rev. Jason Strong officiating. Interment will follow in the Redwing Cemetery. Mr. Sasser, a retiree of the International Paper Company, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at the West Carroll Memorial Care Center in Oak Grove, La. He also faithfully served his country in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Sasser is survived by his children Edna Stover and husband Delton of Oak Grove, La. and Donald Sasser and wife Beth also of Oak Grove; a sister, Sybil Thomas and husband George of Mena, Ar.; five grandchildren, Randy Stover and wife Tammy, Robert Stover and wife Susan, Candy Neathery and husband Patrick, Dewanna Sasser, and Sherri Sasser; six great grandchildren, Daniel Stover, Boyd Stover, Cody Stover, Jessica Stover, Tyler Neathery, and Emily Neathery; as well as, three great great grandchildren, Payton, Laurie, and Ryan. He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years Louella Sasser, his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Pallbearers are grandsons and great grandsons Randy Stover, Robert Stover, Patrick Neathery, Daniel Stover, Boyd Stover, Cody Stover, and Tyler Neathery. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Harper and Jimmy Turner. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 5 - 9 PM at the Goodwill Church of God under the direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop.
