Robert G. "Butch" Pailette, 66, of Mer Rouge, formerly of Monroe, went home to be with his Lord September 28, 2011.
He was retired from the State of Louisiana Department of Corrections and from Louisiana Army National Guard (Co. A 528th) of Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy Pailette; son and wife, Marty and Stacey Pailette of West Monroe; grandson, Noah Pailette of West Monroe; "adopted" daughter, Nita Faircloth of Mer Rouge; step-daughter, Wanda Murphy of Monroe; granddaughter, Casey Odom of Shreveport; brother, Charles Pailette of Tupelo, MS; sister, Viana May Travis of Brookhaven, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Golden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Bonne Idee Assembly of God Church, Mer Rouge, with Pastors Charley Smith, Jerry Stuckey, and Clyde Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Bonne Idee Cemetery, Mer Rouge.
