Obituary of Leonidas Southall

Funeral services for Leonidas "Lonzo" S. Southall, age 72, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday March 12, 2005, at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Southall, a resident of Bastrop, passed away March 8, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center. Visitation is scheduled for Friday March 11, 2005, from 4-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Southall was a retired employee of International Paper Company. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
He is survived by his son, Leonidas "Stewart" Southall and wife Priscilla of Montgomery, AL; grandson, George R. "Russ" Barnes & wife Brandi of Montgomery, AL; great grandson, William Mason Barnes of Montgomery, AL; sister, Jo Thornton of Bastrop; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Stewart Southall; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leonidas S. Southall, Sr.; and sister, Faye Southall.
Members of the Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Williamson, James Free, A.G. Tate and Richard Scruggs.
