Obituary of James Rogers

Funeral services for James D. Rogers, age 67, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday March 12, 2005, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Guice officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Rogers, a pipefitter, passed away March 10, 2005 at Glenwood Medical Center. Visitation will be held Friday at Golden Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Rogers served 2 tours in the U.S. Navy and is preceded in death by his father, Willie "Red" Rogers and mother, Emma Inez Rogers.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Alpha J. Rogers of West Monroe; sons, James D. Rogers & wife Dori of Nathalie, VA, Marcus D. Rogers & wife Connie of Nathalie, VA, Frank B. Rogers of New Orleans; daughter, Reginia Rogers Smith of West Monroe; step-son, Scott Bornhorst & wife Krissy of New Orleans; brother, William Thomas Rogers & wife Faye of Bastrop; uncle, Willie "Bill" Rogers & wife Liz of Somerton, SC; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody Rogers, Jesse Rogers, Al Long, W.A. Long, Don Walker, and Heath Breedlove.
