Obituary of Carrie "Katie" Blood

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie "Katie" Beatrice Blood, 71, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Ferris officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday November 18 for visitation from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Blood, a homemaker and member of Bonne Idee Assembly of God Church, loved her family and gardening. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Diane Beach, Pamela Sue McDonald and husband Robert; sons, Dale Sullivan Blood, Michael Wayne Blood; sisters, Mary Frances Lebrun, Linda Faye Wilson, Cathy Sue Woodall, Nancy Ruth Kelly, all of Bastrop, special sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams; brothers, James McNair of Marion, LA, George McNair of Bastrop; grandchildren, Joey McLarrin, Leighla Battaglia, Selina Jackson & husband D.J., Brandon Beach & wife Patchez, and Zachary Beach; great grandchildren, De'Lynn, Edwin, Makayla, Anthony, Jathan, Demetries, Natalie, Tylan, Onna, Cloe, Sydney, Caleb; special friends, Mable Adams and Joyce Wall. Mrs. Blood is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sullivan Blood, her parents, Tressie and Alton McNair, three sisters, two brothers, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Blood, Michael Blood, Robert McDonald, Joey McLarrin, Brandon Beach, and Zachary Beach. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Demetries Jackson.
