Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Shores Holt, age 69, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram and Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Holt, a retired legal secretary and member of First Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas. She was also a member of the Circle of Friends. She is survived by her husband, Boyce Holt; three children, Dean Boykin of Trophy Club, TX, D'Ann Boykin Tidwell and husband Mark E. Tidwell of McKinney, TX, David Boykin and wife Jennifer Rhodes-Boykin of Mount Dora, FL; step-children, Boyce Holt II of Poplar Bluff, MO, Benny Holt and wife Debbie of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister, Dolores Gilbert of Conroe, TX; brother, Danny Shores and wife Linda of Liberty Lake, WA; uncle, Stephen Randall and wife Obeline of Dubach, LA; step-sisters, Jane Carroll and husband Lindell of Elephant Butte, NM, Joann Carroll and husband Frank of Bastrop, LA; step-brother, Everett Carruth of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Ryan Chesney and wife Amy, Bob Blanks Tidwell III and wife Christine, Morgan Boykin, Meredith Boykin and a special cousin, Johnnye Armistead. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Chesney, Bob Blanks Tidwell III, Tab Musgrove, Will Musgrove, Boyce Holt II, Benny Holt and Aaron Paulsey. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Boykin and Jack Bennett.
