Obituary of William "Bill" Birmingham

Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Birmingham, 76, of Bastrop are scheduled for 4:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2012 at First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. A.J. Fulton and Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Birmingham, a retired roofer and member of First United Pentecostal Church, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Morehouse General Hospital. He is survived by special cousin; Mark Sistrunk and wife Tammy of Bastrop, LA; mother, Amber Lee Sistrunk of Mer Rouge, LA; sisters, Carolyn Turner and husband Donald of Sterlington, LA, Sandra Harper and husband Bill of Bastrop, LA, Sharon Anders and husband Preston of Mer Rouge, LA; brothers, Jimmy Sistrunk and wife Emma Kay of Beekman, LA, Rev. David Sistrunk and wife Beverly of Bastrop, LA, Donald Sistrunk and wife Esther of Bastrop, LA; sisters-in-law, Betty Sistrunk of Bastrop, LA, Cheryl Sistrunk of West Monroe, LA; special friend, Barbara Cole and his church family at First United Pentecostal Church. Mr. Birmingham is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Sistrunk and brothers, Calvin Sistrunk and Thomas Sistrunk. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the church. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Dr. Daniel Trejo.
