Obituary of Mary Lee Lowery

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lee Lowery, age 72, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lowery, a homemaker and a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Lowery attended Burroughs Pentecostal Church in Columbia, LA. Mrs. Lowery is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Baker; a brother, Alvis Percy Higgins; a grandchild, Rhiana Montgomery Meunier; and a great grandson, Nathaniel Orion Strawn. Mrs. Lowery is survived by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Lowery of Bastrop, LA; three children, Mary Elizabeth Baker of West Monroe, LA, Beverly Diane Baker of Hot Springs, AR, John Colter Davis and wife Charlett of West Monroe, LA; one sister, Alice Luna of Willard, OH; nine grandchildren, Damon Anthony White, Amanda Nicole Winkler, Denise Montgomery Nanzer, Benjamin Lee Montgomery, Charity Dawn Strawn, Tiffany Marie Hinson, Melissa Joy Watkins, Chelsea Danielle Watson, Miranda Leanne Davis; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
