Obituary of Everette E. Broadway

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Everette E. Broadway, age 81, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Mer Rouge Cemetery with Rev. Joey Kennedy officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Broadway, a retired welder, passed away Wednesday,July 24, 2013 at his residence. He was a loving father and grandfather. He also loved his dogs, Fancy and Rastus. Mr. Broadway ran his welding shop for 20 years. He served his country in the United States Army for six years including the Korean Conflict. Mr. Broadway is survived by his wife, Mary Broadway; daughters, Rhonda Potter and husband Richard, Brenda Ricks and husband Wayne, Amanda Harris and husband Keith Costin, Lori Ezell and husband Bo, Kristi Curry and husband Darwin; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty- four great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; three brothers, Eulas, Elton, and Earl Broadway and one sister, Doris Broadway. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Rosa Broadway. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Potter, Chris Potter, Philip Ricks, Shane Ricks, Daniel Ricks, T.J. Harris and Dustin Williamson. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 5 PM - 8 PM and Friday, July 26, 2013 from 8:30 AM until 12 noon at Golden Funeral Home.
